Lead the WAi How-to Guides

Resources

Create and manage each resource type in your workspace.

Resources are the main types of objects you work with in the platform.

Each resource is a collection of objects designed for a specific type of work, such as leads, posts, messages, or appointments.

How to think about resources

Each resource represents a different area of work.

For example:

  • Posts are used for creating and managing content
  • Leads are used for tracking people or businesses
  • Messages are used for communication
  • Appointments are used for scheduling and meetings

Within each resource, you create and manage objects that move through their own lifecycle.

Working with resources

You access resources from the Library page, where each one is shown as a resource tile.

Inside each resource, you can:

  • Create new objects
  • Organise them into folders
  • Move them through their stages
  • View and update them in the Resource Viewer

Each resource follows the same core structure, but is tailored to the type of work it supports.

Resource actions

Each resource also has its own set of actions for managing objects at a higher level.

These include:

  • Add – create a new object for that resource
  • Import – create multiple objects in one go
  • Export – download your data
  • Filter – control what is visible, such as hiding completed or archived objects
  • Share – provide a limited public view when needed

These actions help you manage your data more efficiently, especially as it grows.

Resource settings

Each resource has its own settings that control how it behaves.

Here, you can:

  • Set default values for new objects
  • Define inheritance, controlling what passes down to subobjects
  • Set up automations, such as triggers and rules to move work forward

These settings shape how objects are created and how they progress over time.

What this section includes

Each resource has its own guide explaining how it works in detail:

  • Post – creating, generating, and managing content
  • Lead – tracking and progressing prospects
  • Message – managing communication and outreach
  • Appointment – scheduling and managing meetings

Open each guide to understand how that resource works and how to use it effectively.

Summary

Resources are the foundation of your work.

They organise everything into clear areas, and provide the tools and settings needed to manage, structure, and scale your activity across the platform.
