Name
The Name is what an object is called.
It’s the main label you’ll see across the platform, including in lists, navigation paths, and at the top of the Resource Viewer.
When to set it
The name is usually the first thing you should set.
It gives the object an identity straight away, making it easier to recognise and work with.
If a description hasn’t been added yet, the name is often used as the main reference by the platform.
How it works
You can edit the name directly in the Resource Viewer.
Changes are saved automatically when you click away from the field.
Once saved, the updated name is reflected wherever the object appears.
How to use it well
Use names that are clear and easy to recognise.
A good name should quickly tell you what the object is without needing to open it.
Try to stay consistent when naming similar objects, so everything is easier to scan and find.
If the focus of an object changes, update the name so it continues to reflect what it represents.
Summary
The name is the main way you identify an object.
Setting it early and keeping it clear makes everything easier to find, understand, and work with across the platform.
